Well its
Tuesday and I should have done the update by
Sunday at the latest but....
So
here's the story as far as I know. During practice we found some things were wrong with both the 06 and 16. The 06 had some minor breaking issues ( is it really minor when the car is doing over 70 in a turn? ) while the 16 had a minor vibration in the first practice. For the 06 the issue was somewhat expected seeing that we had just replaced the rear break shoes. After a few tweaks the 06 seemed fine. Now on to the 16. After the first practice, the car came in with a slight vibration which we thought was in the drive train. After the second practice, the decision was made to change out the drive shaft to see if that would correct the problem. Unfortunately it seems that the problem is somewhere in the motor.
In the feature Charlie started eighth while Bill was
relegated to starting thirteenth. After some slicing and dicing, and a few cautions, Bill finished in fifth place while Charlie managed to keep the 16 together for a tenth place finish. Now that was a GREAT accomplishment since the
throttle stuck and charlie was pulling minimum 5000
rpm's all the way around the track! There
doesn't seem to be too much body damage to either car but last thing I heard was that the motor for the 16 was coming out to be checked. Hopefully it is something minor and at the very least it
didn't "grenade" on the track and cause some major headaches!
Supposedly the weathermen are saying
threes some rain coming in on
Friday...But as we all know they are not usually rite...
soo till next week...maybe sooner if they are actually correct for once....
