FINALLY

Once again I missed the best night in the teams history. Bill drove the 06 to its FIRST EVER WIN! As that was happening, Charlie drove the 16 to a THIRD place finish! All I can say is way to go guys! Finally its starting to show how strong a team that DTR really is! Congratz to all who have been working on the cars it was a great night!

Issues

Issues is the theme of the week.......or should I say weeks. Im sorry that its been a while since I posted but I have had some personal problems. I am close to asking Dee ( aka race princess...or just plain ole Diane) to take over until I can think straight.
Well issues happened tonight. On about lap 7 or so... Bill and Charlie got together ( it was great to see them racing hard against each other...till the crash that is) and Bill ended up with enough damage that he got black flagged...even though he could have continued easily without hurting any other cars. But thats not my call....Charlie has some frame damage but was able to continue and ended up with an 8 finish( we hope). His transponder was either lost or crushed in the accident. I wish I could say more but my mind is not really here at the moment. I will put up another update soon with point standings and a report on battle damage.
Till then.....have a Twisted on me!!

Rain

this week has been washed out. Not really a bad thing since it gives the Charlie and the 16 crew time to make sure that the car is all set....Well till next week I guess that's all

Long Week

Well its Tuesday and I should have done the update by Sunday at the latest but....
So here's the story as far as I know. During practice we found some things were wrong with both the 06 and 16. The 06 had some minor breaking issues ( is it really minor when the car is doing over 70 in a turn? ) while the 16 had a minor vibration in the first practice. For the 06 the issue was somewhat expected seeing that we had just replaced the rear break shoes. After a few tweaks the 06 seemed fine. Now on to the 16. After the first practice, the car came in with a slight vibration which we thought was in the drive train. After the second practice, the decision was made to change out the drive shaft to see if that would correct the problem. Unfortunately it seems that the problem is somewhere in the motor.
In the feature Charlie started eighth while Bill was relegated to starting thirteenth. After some slicing and dicing, and a few cautions, Bill finished in fifth place while Charlie managed to keep the 16 together for a tenth place finish. Now that was a GREAT accomplishment since the throttle stuck and charlie was pulling minimum 5000 rpm's all the way around the track! There doesn't seem to be too much body damage to either car but last thing I heard was that the motor for the 16 was coming out to be checked. Hopefully it is something minor and at the very least it didn't "grenade" on the track and cause some major headaches!
Supposedly the weathermen are saying threes some rain coming in on Friday...But as we all know they are not usually rite...soo till next week...maybe sooner if they are actually correct for once....
