The 06 Debut

Last weekend the new version of the Shoptech 06 Monte Carlo made its first public appearence at Race-a-Rama. Held at the Dana Farber field house (next to Gillette Stadium) in Foxboro Mass. it gave us a surprise visitor on day 2 and 3 of the show. Some of you may know him ... yep thats the one and only Pat Patriot, mascot of our beloved New England Patriots.
The weekend was made for the team when one Elderly gentleman saw the car, did a double take, then asked RZ (crew chief) "is that the SILVER 06 that ran in limiteds last year?" After being told that it was he replied "WOW you guys have done a lot of work!" It was also nice to recieve compliments ,and the odd awe stricken look, from some of our competitors as well as kudos from one of the officials from Stafford. Then again....Mike Youngs weekend was probably made when he got to drive the pace car back to the track. Hmmm pace car...Mass pike...Race car driver....not the best mix in my mind but at least he didnt get any tickets...
Cant wait to start racing but still have a month and a half till we start so...till next time...
