Raining yet again

Canceled?!? Why don't they just say rescheduled since we know that's what's gonna happen. For those of you that didn't know, Stafford ( and every other Nascar short track) has to run a certain number of races to keep their NASCAR certification. Since we have had 5 rain outs and 3 rescheduled so far....well errr maybe they wont have to make this one up. Now all we have to do is prey for NO RAIN for the rest of the season! My guess is.....GOOD LUCK on that one!
Oh and by the way...feel free to leave a comment so that I dont think im talking to myself anymore!

Happy with 4 again?

Fourth place. Not a bad place to be but.....It isn't first. Though the 06 finished fourth after starting eleventh and kept a 6 point lead for bill in the championship points, none of us are satisfied. We all know that the car has more power if we can just get it to stick for Billy. We are trying and will keep on trying till we get it rite! As long as we keep the points lead for bill and continue to show improvements on handling and speed that should keep us all happy.
Ed started in fourteenth and ended up with a sixth place finish after almost passing bill with 5 to go! I just wonder if Billy saw Ed coming and that's where he found some more speed...
It was nice to see Ted Chalmers at the track! First time in a long time that we have seen him. It was also nice to have Phil, Loren (hope I spelled it rite) and the kids there for a decent evening. As well as the above mentioned thanks for the support to Carolyn, Dianne and Becka! I know I'm probably missing some people but hey its me and that happens. Sorry that the "crips" didn't stay but RZ couldn't walk and my hand was buggin me so...We were beagle bound for the evening.
Well guess that's it for now, so till next week...

New era for DTR

Unfortunately DTR and driver Mike Young have parted ways. The crew wishes him great luck and knows that we will see him on the track in the future. You will be missed. Veteran driver Bill Davis takes over the wheel for the 06 and Ed Lofland jumps into the 31 as they join the DTR team.
Now on to friday night...For the first time in a LONG time, the rain actually held off and we got to race! As the green flag dropped the 06 started in the 14th position with the 31 in the 16 hole. After two and a half white nuckled, 3 wide racing the caution came out for the #22 car when he hit hard in turn 1. Bill had climbed 7 spots already! Ed had made up 7 as well to put both cars into contention! As the race went on and was winding down the 06 (sitting in second) started losing electrical power. While that was happening Ed had his hands full with the 43 fighting it out for fourth( how is he so fast??). After 2 restarts in the final 4 laps the 06 managed to hold on to a fourth place finish with the 31 finishing fifth! What a great start to the new era! Especially with both drivers climbing into the cars for the first time! Congrats to the 38 on his first win and to the 23 for a third on at least a bent right rear rim. Great run guys!
I cant wait to see what happens next week! So till then....
