Still out front

The lead is starting to shrink again....Down to 18 points with 5 races to go. The 06 started tenth then got shuffled back to fourteenth before making his run back through the field to capture yet another fifth place finish. Ed and the 31 were not there again as he is still putting the motor back in after being serviced. Its getting a little nervous down in the pits hoping to grab a championship in only our second year as DTR. Sorry so short but have too much to do this week! till next week...

6 to go....

6 Weeks left and Bill still has a 20 point lead. But now its over the 23 car instead of the 43. After starting seventh, Scrubbing the wall and avoiding a few wrecks, we managed to come home with another fifth place finish. Even though it wasn't a podium finish, the team seemed happy with the results. The 23 gained 2 points on us while the 38 lost 2 and the 43, after being given a black flag from race control, fell from 20 points behind to 42. We still need to keep performing well to have a chance to keep our hopes of winning the championship alive. And a win would certainly help our cause! Now we just have to figure out how to make that happen.
Now on to Ed and the 31. The racing gremlins seem to have decided to play with Ed for a while. After some problems last week, Ed found some pressure problems in the engine. So with the motor being fixed, better to be safe than sorry, Ed missed yesterdays program.Unfortunately the missed start cost him a spot in the championship standings as he dropped to tenth. Luckily he seems to be doing better in his late-model at Monadnock. Great job on second last week Ed!
Well thats it for now....All the hellos as usual...Till next week.....

Told ya!!!

I told ya that there would be a post this week! Unfortunately there's not too much to tell! The Mods took all the time. It was funny seeing Ted Christopher and Bo Gunning have a little "run in" after the checkered waved though...
Now to us... We started tenth and finished eighth...OUCH...So we thought the points lead was going bye bye until... With 3 laps to go... KABOOM! The 43 blew an engine. We actually are REAL sorry that that happened. It costs way to much for a motor and we don't want to see that happen to anyone. But since it did... We now have a 20 point lead in the point standings.
As for Ed....Well I don't think we will talk about that...He started fourth and finished .... Err....Well.... Lets just say he finished. Hopefully this week we can actually get good readings on the cars and get them BOTH back up front where we belong! Till then....

Oops...two weeks late...

Ok sorry I'm just a little late with posting. So two weeks ago we got rained out...Again. Last week we actually ran! The 06 had a nail biting run ( for the team at least) As Billy held on to third place with some engine issues. For some reason the car doesn't seem to have the pulling power that everyone thinks we should. So during a post race discussion with Billy the Kid (engine builder ) it was decided that new plugs and valve springs were needed. With that done here's to hoping that this week is a stronger showing for the 06.
Now on to Ed and the 31... Well the day didn't start out too well when in a practice the 13 car folded in Ed's left front fender. Bobo and I got it back into place but... Something still wasn't rite with the car. Ed didn't tell me what was happening with it and unfortunately I was watching Billy trying to hold off the 23 for the last 11 laps of the race. Sorry Ed...
Up this week...The Whelen Mod tour... So to us that means 1 practice...No heats...and the feature....maybe.....If they don't run out of time ...
Well here's to hoping that the boys got her running rite! Till next week....And I will make sure to get a posting up....
