Rain

this week has been washed out. Not really a bad thing since it gives the Charlie and the 16 crew time to make sure that the car is all set....Well till next week I guess that's all

Long Week

Well its Tuesday and I should have done the update by Sunday at the latest but....
So here's the story as far as I know. During practice we found some things were wrong with both the 06 and 16. The 06 had some minor breaking issues ( is it really minor when the car is doing over 70 in a turn? ) while the 16 had a minor vibration in the first practice. For the 06 the issue was somewhat expected seeing that we had just replaced the rear break shoes. After a few tweaks the 06 seemed fine. Now on to the 16. After the first practice, the car came in with a slight vibration which we thought was in the drive train. After the second practice, the decision was made to change out the drive shaft to see if that would correct the problem. Unfortunately it seems that the problem is somewhere in the motor.
In the feature Charlie started eighth while Bill was relegated to starting thirteenth. After some slicing and dicing, and a few cautions, Bill finished in fifth place while Charlie managed to keep the 16 together for a tenth place finish. Now that was a GREAT accomplishment since the throttle stuck and charlie was pulling minimum 5000 rpm's all the way around the track! There doesn't seem to be too much body damage to either car but last thing I heard was that the motor for the 16 was coming out to be checked. Hopefully it is something minor and at the very least it didn't "grenade" on the track and cause some major headaches!
Supposedly the weathermen are saying threes some rain coming in on Friday...But as we all know they are not usually rite...soo till next week...maybe sooner if they are actually correct for once....

Late ...

So I'm late with the post....Oh well... Short and sweet today. In the practice it was business as usual. Nothing exciting to report there. First heat had Bill in it. he started 9th and finished fifth( they took 6). when asked why he didn't try to catch up to the pack, Bill said " It's not worth wrecking the car. " the 23 seemed to be losing some kind of fluid on the track and Bill didn't want to chance a wreck.
In the second heat, Charlie started 8th and had a slight problem. It seems the 30 car spun into charlie ( we are not sure if he had some help or not ) and looped him. Not a big deal though, he qualified for the feature and the damage was not too severe.
Charlie started in the 8th position on the feature finished Fifth! Great run Charlie!! Bill Started in the 9th position and finished seventh. Over all the team stands in 4th and 5th place for the season. Not bad but lets get those cars up front!
OK gotta run , till next week....
